Symptoms

When at least one service template that uses the “DNS Hosting” resource type has a custom nameserver, then email address set as Mailbox of the person responsible for DNS zones parameter in the “DNS Hosting” resource type is not propagated to new domains based on this service template.

Workaround

In order to change email address in the “DNS Hosting” resource type if at least one service template that uses this resource type has a custom nameserver:

  1. Go to the service template with custom nameserver (Products > Service Templates > <your_service_template>.
  2. On the Parameters tab of the service template, temporarily change the nameserver parameter from a custom value to the default one.
  3. Go to the “DNS Hosting” resource type and change the Mailbox of the person responsible for DNS zones parameter for the resource type (Products > Resources > DNS Hosting > Activation Parameters).
  4. Go back to the service template and return the nameserver parameter to the custom value.
