Symptoms


There is an attempt to edit Microsoft 365 configuration using Product Configuration Manager (Configure product button). All steps of the wizard are completed successfully, but required modifications are not made or made only partly.


It can be seen that task "APS Edit Wizard: edit resource(s) for ***" fails with the following output:

From core.log, it can be seen that task fails with the following exception:

Cause


There is a resource type which is registered in a Microsoft 365 instance settings as License type, but actually is Add-on according to Microsoft Offer Matrix.



Resolution


Contact CloudBlue Technical Support in order to clean-up the resource from the platform. Internal article could be used for a reference which provides steps on how to delete resource from the platform.
