Symptoms

  1. Container with VPN running inside can hang in "stopping" status with running 3 processes.

  2. Stopping the container with VPN running inside can lead to BSOD with the following signature: 

    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f)

Resolution

Microsoft has released a fix to address the issue - KB2983488

The hotfix support has been added to Parallels Containers and is availabe since :

  • Update VZU460076 for Parallels Virtuozzo Containers for Windows 4.6

To resolve the problem completely, install all pending Parallels updates and install the Microsoft hotfix afterwards.
